If you have a modern Android Smartphone and would like to download my WorldBirds app, this page explains how you can do it.

What is it?
A list of all the birds of the world based on the latest AviList (previously IOC) taxonomy. There are currently 11,131 species, 46 orders, 252 families, 3,376 genus and 19,879 subspecies – 2025 release. There are checklists for 277 countries/regions, and it has facilities for you to log bird sightings with the GPS location on Google maps, with statistics and export of your sightings for later reference. It is completely free and there are no adverts or malware. To identify birds, there are links to external references sources for every species, and to help you when you are offline, a set of photos and bird calls can be stored on the phone (you can add your own).
Phone Requirements
